Itinerary

Friday 25 March

6.30pm. Echuca Pacing Cup Night - featuring the $35,000 Echuca Pacing Cup and the $20,000 Echuca Trotters Cup

Come and be part of the VHRC members on course marquee at Frank Ryan Paceway, Echuca for the Echuca Pacing Cup Night meeting. If you enjoy being up close to the Harness Racing action on a 800m track, you will love Harness Racing at Echuca on their biggest night of the year – Echuca Pacing Cup Night.

Enjoy finger food and drinks as part of two hour happy hour in the VHRC Marquee. Cash Bar will apply for the remainder of the night.

Cost 

• VHRC Members $20 per person
• Non Members $30 per person

Saturday 26 March

Tour two of Victoria’s leading Standardbred Breeding Establishments, Benstud and Aldebaran Park and inspect their Yearling Drafts one week prior to the Nutrien Equine Melbourne Yearling Sale. View future Standardbred Champions before they go on sale.

9.00am – Bus departs Rich River Golf Club in Moama for Benstud Standardbreds in Katunga

10.00am – Arrive at Benstud Standardbreds in Katunga. Enjoy a tour of Benstud’s world class equine facility including a presentation of Benstud’s yearling draft for the following weekend’s 2022 Nutrien Equine Melbourne Yearling Sale.  

11.45am – Bus departs Benstud and heads to Aldebaran Park in Nagambie.

1.00pm – Arrive at Aldebaran Park in Nagambie. Enjoy a light BBQ lunch and have a tour of Aldebaran Park’s outstanding facility. Inspect Aldebaran Park’s yearling draft for the following weekends 2022 Nutrien Equine Melbourne Yearling Sale.

2.30pm – Bus departs for return to Echuca Moama

3.50pm – Bus arrives back in Echuca Moama

Cost – Free (Bookings essential however to reserve your place on the bus - limited spots available.)


6.30pm – VHRC Harness Racing Dinner and Live Entertainment at Rich River Golf Club

Enjoy a great two course meal with VHRC Members and Harness Racing identities in the magnificent Tatalia Room at Rich River Golf Club in Moama.  Watch all the harness racing action from Melton and Menangle live on the big screen.  Listen to Guest Speakers and some of the Legends of Harness Racing and enjoy live music.

Sunday 27 March

Enjoy a relaxing day at your leisure in magnificent Echuca Moama. Optional activities include a round of golf at Rich River Golf Club, Paddlesteamer Cruise on the Murray River, a tour of Echuca’s famous ‘Port of Echuca’ or visit local wineries.
