2023 VHRC Membership
Membership of the Victorian Harness Racing Club for 2023 is now open. With the opening of the new VHRC Members Facility at Tabcorp Park, Melton in the coming months, there has never been a better time in recent years to be a member of the VHRC.
The VHRC will also be continuing with its Super Bonus Program in 2023 where eligible horses and trainers can share in up to $500,000 in bonuses on offer by winning a VHRC Super Bonus race in 2023.
Further information on the new VHRC Members Facility and its operation is outlined below along with the benefits of each Category of Membership for 2023.
Horse Membership 2023
The VHRC will be continuing with its Super Bonus Race Program in 2023 where once again there will be the opportunity for VHRC Horse Owner Members to win a $1,500 Cash Bonus across 26 race meetings throughout regional Victoria between March and December with your horses. Multiple bonuses can be won across these 26 meetings and there is up to $500,000 in VHRC Super Bonuses that is available. For Trotters that win a VHRC Super Bonus Race, there is even more rewards with Aldebaran Park again kindly donating a $500 Voucher which can be used when breeding to one of their Stallions in the 2023 season.
To be eligible for the VHRC Super Bonus Races in 2023, each horse must be paid up by 28 February 2023. The cost for each horse is $250 with discounts applying for five or more horses paid up.
All listed owners of a paid up horse in 2023 become members of the VHRC. All owners will receive free admission to all Harness meetings in Victoria as well as access to the VHRC Members Room at all standard Tabcorp Park Melton metropolitan meetings. You will also receive invitations to VHRC Member Happy Hour Events and exclusive VHRC member hospitality opportunities. In addition, your horse is eligible to win a $1,500 VHRC Cash Bonus across 26 regional meetings in Victoria in 2023.
Trainer Membership 2023
Trainer Membership is available to all licensed Harness Trainers. As a paid up VHRC Trainer Member in 2023, you will be eligible to receive a $500 VHRC Cash Bonus each time a paid up horse that you train wins a VHRC Super Bonus Race in 2023.
You will also receive access to the VHRC Members Room at all standard Tabcorp Park Melton metropolitan meetings, invitations to VHRC Member Happy Hour Events and exclusive VHRC member hospitality opportunities throughout the year. The cost of a VHRC Trainer Membership in 2023 is $200.
Social Membership 2023
Social Membership is for the Harness Racing enthusiast that enjoys being on track and part of Harness Racing but who may not necessarily own a horse that is likely to race in 2023 or who does not want to be part of the Super Bonus Program in 2023.
Social membership in 2023 provides the member with access to the new VHRC Members Facility at all standard Tabcorp Park Melton Metropolitan Meetings, free admission to all Harness Meetings in Victoria, invitations to Member Happy Hour Events and exclusive membership hospitality opportunities. Social membership does not provide the member with eligibility for the VHRC Super Bonus Race Program in 2023.
New VHRC Owners Room (Members Facility)
The new VHRC Members Room is currently under construction and will be situated on the ground floor in close proximity to the winning post. It will be in a great location to enjoy a fantastic night of harness racing at Tabcorp Park Melton.
The new VHRC Members Facility will be a modern, stylish boutique facility appropriate for the crowds of today with a seated capacity of 80 to 100 or 130 to 150 in a cocktail (standing up) setting. There will be a stylish bar facility, window seat booths, standing tables and the opportunity for members to order food. A dress code will apply in the room (collared shirt required and no sports shoes) and a staff member will be on the door ensuring compliance with entry and dress code requirements. All VHRC Members will be able to access the new VHRC Owners Room once operating at all standard Metropolitan Meetings at Tabcorp Park, Melton and members will also be able to purchase guest passes.
For Super Feature Meetings such as the Hunter Cup, Victoria Cup, Breeders Crown Finals and Vicbred Super Series Finals, we expect that demand from members will exceed room capacity on these major event nights. Accordingly, access to the VHRC Owners Room (Members Facility) on these Super Feature Meetings will be via a separate ticket where VHRC members will have the opportunity to purchase a ticket in advance to access the VHRC Owners Room on these Super Feature Event Nights. The price of tickets on these nights have not been finalised but is expected to be around $20 and tickets will only be made available to VHRC Members on a first in first served basis.
We are very grateful for the support from the Victorian State Government, Harness Racing Victoria and Tabcorp Park, Melton in making the new VHRC Members Room a reality in 2023.
